iQOO Z6 Lite 5G Overall Review

The iQOO Z6 Lite is a mid-range smartphone manufactured by iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo. It was released in China in October 2021.

The phone features a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, which is a flagship processor and is coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The iQOO Z6 Lite also features a triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Other notable features of the iQOO Z6 Lite include 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The phone runs on iQOO UI 2.0 based on Android 11.

IQOO Z6 Lite Display:

The iQOO Z6 Lite features a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.61%.

The 120Hz refresh rate means that the screen refreshes 120 times per second, which results in smoother and more fluid animations, scrolling, and gaming. This is a feature usually found in high-end smartphones, so it's impressive that the iQOO Z6 Lite offers it in the mid-range segment.

The display also has a peak brightness of 600 nits, which means that it should be bright enough to be visible in most lighting conditions. Additionally, the display supports HDR10, which should result in better color accuracy and contrast when viewing HDR content.

IQOO Z6 Lite Camera:

The iQOO Z6 Lite has a triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The 64-megapixel primary sensor has an aperture of f/1.79 and uses pixel-binning technology to combine 4 pixels into 1 for improved low-light performance. The 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor has a 120-degree field of view, which means that you can capture a wider scene in a single shot. The 2-megapixel depth sensor helps with portrait mode shots by providing depth information to the camera.

On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The camera supports AI beauty mode and can record videos at up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. Overall, the iQOO Z6 Lite's camera setup should be capable of taking decent photos and videos, especially in good lighting conditions. However, it may struggle in low-light situations compared to higher-end smartphones with more advanced camera systems.

IQOO Z6 Lite Gaming Performance:

The iQOO Z6 Lite is designed with gaming performance in mind. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, which is a flagship processor that offers excellent performance. The chipset is coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and an Adreno 650 GPU, which should provide smooth and lag-free gaming performance. The phone also features a 120Hz refresh rate display, which can provide a smoother and more responsive gaming experience, particularly when playing fast-paced games. Additionally, the phone supports 5G connectivity, which means that you can take advantage of faster network speeds when playing online games.

The iQOO Z6 Lite also comes with an ultra game mode, which can help optimize the phone's performance for gaming. This mode can help reduce background interference, allocate resources to the game, and provide other features like an on-screen game assistant and a gaming countdown timer. Overall, the iQOO Z6 Lite should offer solid gaming performance, particularly for mid-range smartphone users. However, it may not be able to match the gaming performance of high-end gaming smartphones such as the ASUS ROG Phone 5 or the Red Magic 6.

IQOO Z6 Lite battery:

The iQOO Z6 Lite is equipped with a large 5000mAh battery, which should provide enough power to last a full day of moderate to heavy usage. The phone also supports 44W fast charging, which can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in around 50 minutes.

The phone's battery life may vary depending on usage patterns and other factors such as screen brightness, network connectivity, and the number of apps running in the background. However, the combination of a large battery and fast charging should provide a convenient and reliable battery experience. It's also worth noting that the iQOO Z6 Lite comes with a power-saving mode that can help extend battery life by limiting background activity and reducing screen brightness. Additionally, the phone supports USB Power Delivery (PD), which means that you can charge other devices using the phone's battery.

IQOO Z6 Lite software:

The iQOO Z6 Lite runs on iQOO UI 2.0, which is based on Android 11. iQOO UI is a custom skin that provides some additional features and customization options over stock Android. The iQOO UI includes features like Ultra Game Mode, which is optimized for gaming and provides a range of tools and optimizations to enhance the gaming experience. There's also an AI assistant that can help you with tasks like translation, image recognition, and voice commands. Additionally, the iQOO UI provides a range of customization options, including the ability to change the app icons, system fonts, and notification style. The UI also includes a number of gesture-based controls that can make navigating the phone more intuitive and convenient. Overall, the iQOO UI provides a clean and intuitive interface that should be easy to use for most users. However, users who prefer stock Android may find the additional features and customization options to be unnecessary or cumbersome.

IQOO Z6 Lite Design:

The iQOO Z6 Lite has a sleek and modern design with a glass front and a plastic back panel. The phone has a rectangular camera module on the back that houses the triple camera setup, with the iQOO branding located just below it.

On the front, the phone has a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, located in the top center of the display. The phone's bezels are relatively thin, with a slightly thicker chin at the bottom.

The power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the phone, with the SIM tray located on the left side. The bottom of the phone features a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, as well as a speaker grille and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Overall, the iQOO Z6 Lite has a simple and understated design that should appeal to most users. However, the plastic back panel may feel less premium compared to phones with glass or metal backs.
